Handled a party of 15 on Father's Day with fast and friendly service. Quality food a notch above the rest.

I'm confused why this place has less than 4-4.5 s stars. I will tell you why I think otherwise. Been here 3 times, two eat ins, one take out. This isn't a fine dining restaurant (note 2 dollar stars). However this place has been one of the best Chinese restaurants (based on word of mouth) in Westchester. Food is in fact excellent and service is good, fast and consistent. The ingredients are fresh based on vegetable and meat/chicken quality. If you are looking for a no thrills but really good Chinese place this is your spot.

New owners so we tried it again. Food is inedible. We paid and left a table full of food and went to another Chinese restaurant. Yuck.

The food is good. However, it's pricey and the portions are deff on the small side. Overall, nothing special and for the price, there is plenty of comparably good Chinese food around. Would I come back? Yes! But only when I want upscale Chinese. I have to say...WAY better than PF Chang's!!

If you haven't been to Hartsdale, then Hunan Village II, is one reason to stop by, (across from the Metro North station).
Everybody, from hostess to servers, are attentive, greeting you at once. Hunan Village is spacious with simple designs and a full bar. Their Lychee Martini in particular, is always strong and precisely, prepared with love.
You have your usual menu of Poultry, Beef, Pork Seafood and Vegetarian options. But here's the kicker and honestly, haven't seen a 'Create Your Own Dish' page in any of the Asian restaurants I've been to. And Hunan Village II, gives you the green light on what you would like. You pick your meat. You pick your sauce and and pick your vegetable substitutions. You pick, pick, pick. I was in the mood for a seafood-less dinner and opted for (plain) Chinese broccoli as listed on their menu with brown sauce, but I also wanted another veggie and went with, Shiitake Mushrooms. Freaking Awesomeness! Broccoli was crisp and Shiitakes were earthy and delicious. And besides the tasty food, Hunan Village's sauces are rich- and not that sickening red food coloring, found in some foods, elsewhere!
Ivan was helpful as we ordered a few meals and instantly, extended our table without our request! Really good and savory foods and attention to satisfy their customers, definitely seem to be their top priority.
